About the Project

A spacious guest house designed for the Travancore Foundation, featuring multiple guest rooms and community spaces with traditional architectural elements. This project celebrates Kerala's architectural heritage while providing modern comfort and functionality for guests and community gatherings. The design incorporates traditional elements such as sloping tiled roofs, wooden columns, and courtyards, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that resonates with local cultural values. Each guest room has been designed with privacy and comfort in mind, while common areas foster interaction and community building. Sustainable design principles have been integrated throughout, including natural ventilation, rainwater harvesting, and the use of locally sourced materials. The building serves as a testament to how traditional architectural wisdom can be adapted to meet contemporary needs while maintaining cultural authenticity.
